Our speaker Bev Hudson will explore the important role of training in clinical research covering topics:

  • Major gaps in current clinical site training practices
  • Study–specific versus general training for clinical research
  • Training as a value-added benefit to study sites
  • The value of training to sponsors in preventing errors and inquiries
  • Adopting Good Training Practices

Speaker Bio

An occupational therapist by training, Bev transitioned to pharmaceutical sales for Sandoz in 1980.  She spent eleven years at Genentech in sales, sales management and product marketing roles, running the Cystic Fibrosis franchise (Pulmozyme) in her last role. For the past  six  years, Bev has been in senior management roles in the Clinical Trials industry, including General Manager for Mayo Clinical Trial Services, a for-profit business of the Mayo Clinic.

Directions: The Café is located at the Palo Alto Municipal Golf
Course. As you head east on Embarcadero Road from Bayshore(101), you
will pass the driving range on your left and see a sign for the Golf
Course and Bay Café also on your left. Make the immediate left-hand
turn, and then another left into the parking lot. Proceed to the Golf
Course Pro Shop which is at the right –hand side as you face the
golf course- the PA airport will be behind you. When you get to the
Golf Shop, the restaurant will be on your immediate right.
