New Agendas for Big Pharma

The 29th Annual JP Morgan Healthcare Conference currently underway in San Francisco has over 8,680 registrants (19% increase vs. 2010) with 350 companies presenting. The companies included both public, private and nonprofits across all sectors of the life science industry. In yesterday’s PharmExecBlog which I’ve linked here (right click on highlighted title), I analyzed and wrote about  Big Pharma company presentations focusing on their changed agendas and themes in response to the challenges they face in  this new decade.

I attended the GSK presentation by David Redfern, Chief Strategy Officer a day after I submitted the above-mentioned blog. His presentation included the same themes, especially, with regard to expansion of activities in China.

You can tune into most of the public company presentations via webcasts live and on-demand  set up by JP Morgan. These webcasts will be available for three months after the conference. Please visit and click on the webcasting link. You do not need a username and password but you will be prompted for your email address. Listening to the webcasts is the next best thing to being there.

More about the JP Morgan meeting and other Union Square conferences occurring separately on same days to follow soon.
