Life Science High Season Has Begun and Been Revised!

The “Season” for our industry has begun. There have been numerous life science banking investment meetings in September that were already held as well as those upcoming starting on the 7th. You can tune into the audio version of many of these presentations of companies at these meetings typically via the participating company websites. For example, search your favorite browser for Morgan Stanley Global Healthcare Conference, Sept. 13, 2011 and you’ll note many companies that have press releases that they are presenting. You can usually download access to the webcast and in some cases the presentation slides for limited period after the meeting (typically for 90 days).

The UBS Global Life Science Conference will also occur in NYC but Sept. 19-21, 2011. You can look at list of over 250 presenting companies once the conference starts and check out their audio webcast via UBS’s conference website: Go to www.ibb.ubs.com/Conferences. Look for the webcast link to the right of the Global Life Sciences Conference. Note that only companies who have chosen to webcast will be listed. Practice on past conference—the UBS Specialty Pharmaceuticals conference held in May to get understanding how it works if you have specific companies you are tracking.

You’ll note that the “Season” has already started this week in the Bay Area as well. You’ll have to clone yourself to attend the Sept. 15th events of interest. And just wait until next week when the 22nd tops the conflicting events date. When the topics are different, it’s not so bad. But unfortunately, Meredith Brown Tuttle’s outstanding presentation for ACRP on the 15th will have to compete with lecture by former FDA Commissioner Dr. Kessler that same evening.
