Reminder, Life Science Product Marketing Starts Thursday

It’s not too late to register for my upcoming very affordable UC Berkeley Extension Life Science Product Marketing course designed to follow product planning best practices inside companies. It will run for six Thursday evenings over seven  weeks beginning Feb.16th and ending March 29, 2012. The location near Ralston and highway 101 is convenient for working professionals to reach from all over the Bay Area.
Students will self select into product teams focusing on a product of their choice and develop a preliminary marketing plan for presentation on March 29th to a “Senior Marketing Team” of evaluators. These plans and the weekly assignments leading up to the completion of the plan provide valuable examples of the students work to include in their career portfolios. Remember you can’t show a hiring manager confidential work done at another company.
This course provides not only lectures by experienced industry experts from all sectors but also active participation in a hands on project mentored by the instructor. Deliverables also include extensive list of online available resources immediately usable on the job. Instead of taking a for profit course with 10-20% retention typical of passive listening only class formats, students will have chance to integrate new knowledge and skill sets through hands on and active involvment which support 90% retention according to studies in adult learning.
